Lakers clinch series with 10-9 victory over Barrie

Aug 18, 2006 - The Peterborough Lakers clinched their Major Series Lacrosse semi-finals 4-2 as they defeated Barrie in Game Six on the road by the score of 10-9 to advance to the MSL Championship versus the Brampton Excelsiors.

Peterborough trailed 9-8 midway through the third period before John Grant tied the game 9-9 with 7:26 remaining and then set up Mat Giles for the game winner less than a minute later at 6:32.

Scott Evans led the Lakers offense with three goals and one assist. John Grant (2G, 1A), Jason Clark (1G, 2A), Ryan Sharp (3A) and Dan Carey (3A) all chipped in with three points each in the victory.
