Peterborough Defeats Barrie 12-9, regains series lead 3-2

Aug 16, 2006 - The Peterborough Lakers regained the best of seven MSL semi-final series lead 3-2 as they defeated the Barrie Lakeshores by the score of 12-9 Wednesday night at home.

Leading the Lakers was Scott Evans who added two goals and five assists. Tracey Kelusky contributed with five points tallying four goals and one assist including the eventual game winner midway through the third. Pat O'Toole registered the victory in goal while chipping in with four assists. In 20 games this season O'Toole has recorded 25 assists including eight in the playoffs.

For Barrie, Chad Thompson recorded three goals while Mark Steenhuis (1G, 2A) and Luke Wiles (3A) both added three points each in the loss.

Game Six is August 18th at 8:30 pm at the Barrie Molson Centre.
