Excelsiors Roll Past Lakers 18-10 in Game Three

Aug 24, 2006 - After dropping Games One and Two, the Brampton Excelsiors came out flying in Game Three.

Brampton led 7-3 after 20 minutes and 14-6 after 40 on route to an 18-10 victory over the Peterborough Lakers in the best of seven Major Series Lacrosse Championship at the Powerade Centre Thursday night. Peterborough leads the series 2-1 with Game Four back in Peterborough Friday night at 8pm.

Leading the Excelsiors offense was Colin Doyle who recorded his 900th career point adding four goals and four assists. Josh Sanderson recorded a season high eight assists while rookie Jeff Shatler chipped in with the natural hat trick and one helper.

For the Lakers, John Grant registered three goals and three assists. Brampton's defense, led by four time MSL Most Valuable Defenseman Mike Hasen, kept the MSL leading scorer Scott Evans to zero points for the first time this season.
