Kodiaks defeat Barrie 10-8 in Game One of MSL Playoffs

July 27, 2006 - The Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks opened the MSL playoffs with a 10-8 victory over the Barrie Lakeshores in Game One of the best of five series at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex Thursday night.

Leading the Kodiaks offense were Ryan Benesch (3G, 1A) and Kyle Arbuckle (1G, 3A) who both recorded four points each while Wayne Burke (1G, 2A) and Kasey Beirnes (3A) contributed with three points a piece in the victory.

The Barrie Lakeshores will host both Game 2 (July 29 - 7pm) and Game 3 (July 30 - 7pm) at the Barrie Molson Center.
