Lakers take 2-0 Series with 10-7 victory over Barrie

Aug 10/06 - The Peterborough Lakers took a 2-0 Major Series Lacrosse semi-final series lead against the Barrie Lakeshores as they defeated them by the score of 10-7 Thursday night at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.

Peterborough trailed 6-5 after 20 minutes before answering with four straight outscoring Barrie 4-0 in the second period. Leading the Lakers offense was the MSL regular season scoring leader Scott Evans who added a game high five goals. Mat Giles contributed with a goal and three assists while Jason Clark and Dan Carey both chipped in with three assists each.

Luke Wiles and Chad Culp both registered three goals each for the Lakeshores in the loss.

Game Three is scheduled for August 11th at 8:30pm at the Barrie Molson Centre.
