Brooklin Defeats Excelsiors 19-10, ties semi-final series 1-1

Aug 9, 2006 - The Brooklin Redmen had their biggest offensive output of the season as they defeated the Brampton Excelsiors by the score of 19-10 at home Wednesday night. The semi-final series is now tied 1-1 with Game Three back in Brampton Friday night.

Team Canada trio of Gavin Prout, Jeff Zywicki and Shawn Williams led the Brooklin offense. Prout led all scorers with nine points collecting two goals and seven assists. Zywicki added three goals and four assists while Williams contributed with three goals and three helpers.

Mike McClellan added a season high four goals and Steve Toll chipped in with two goals and three assists in the victory.

Gee Nash picked up the victory in goal for the Redmen while Brampton's Bob Watson suffered the loss.
