Peterborough Rolls Past Barrie 11-5 in MSL semi-finals

Aug 8/06 - The two-time defending Major Series Lacrosse Champion Peterborough Lakers opened the 2006 semi-finals with an 11-5 home victory over the Barrie Lakeshores in Game One of the best-four-out-of-seven series.

Leading the Lakers was Tracey Kelusky who added a game high five points with three goals and two assists. Josh Wasson contributed with a goal and three assists while Dan Carey (3G) and Jason Clark (1G, 2A) chipped in with three points each.

Four of the five Lakeshores goals came with the man advantage as they went 4-for-7 on the power play while the Lakers were 1-for-3. The two teams combined for 95 penalty minutes.

Luke Wiles led all Lakeshores players with five points collecting two goals and three assists.

Game Two is scheduled for August 10th at 8:30pm at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
